Hyderabad: The opposition parties are gearing up to corner the government on the issue of fee reimbursement on Thursday. They are likely to raise the issue of abrupt adjournment of the House on Thursday.

The decision was taken by the opposition parties after Congress, Telugu Desam Party and Communist Party of India-Marxist were bodily lifted from the Assembly when they sat on dharna inside the House protesting denial of opportunity to seek clarifications after the reply of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to the debate on fee reimbursement.

They sat on dharna for several hours. In fact, they wanted to continue with the protest till the government released arrears of fee reimbursement. TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that it had become a practice for the government to muzzle the voice of opposition and run away by adjourning the House immediately after the reply by CM.

He said the opposition parties had raised the issue during the BAC meeting also and they were assured that they would get a chance to seek clarifications. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticised the abrupt adjournment and termed the Chief Minister's reply as unsatisfactory. TTDP floor leader A Revanth Reddy said that not only opposition members even ministers were not being allowed to speak in the House.

Only three people give replies, KCR, KTR and Harish Rao. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), an ally of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), too found fault with the manner in which the proceedings were conducted. It demanded the government to immediately release the arrears.
