Senior Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Friday asked the State Government not to bypass Central legislation with regard to acquisition of land for various irrigation projects.

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Friday asked the State Government not to bypass Central legislation with regard to acquisition of land for various irrigation projects.
Speaking to media persons, Sudhakar Reddy suggested that the State Government should acquire land only according to provisions laid down in the Land Acquisition Act 2013. There was no need for the State government to draft a separate law for the same.
It was not proper on the part of the TRS government to bypass Central laws unnecessarily. The TRS was getting habituated to framing laws at will, though there were pieces of legislation already on the subjects concerned, he said.
Sudhakar Reddy said that the TRS Government had not learnt lessons even after getting reprimanded by the court of law for its acts on variousoccasions.
