The Supreme Court has struck down a petition of Telangana government over the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal sharing of Krishna Waters.

While the state government put forth it's argument demanding that the water should be divided among all the states as the earlier division was not entirely fair.

During the Telangana agitation, the now Chief Minister of the state, K Chandrasekhar Rao had alleged that the state governments had failed to place the right arguments before the Tribunal. However, the Central government had confirmed that the Krishna Water sharing will take place only between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Following this decision, the Telangana government had filed a Special leave petition (SLP) in Supreme court opposing more Krishna river water to Andhra Pradesh but the petition was struck down.
