Oct 17 deadline for Kaleswaram project
State government has set October 2017 as a deadline for the completion of the prestigious Kaleswaram Irrigation project, meant for providing irrigation and drinking needs in all North Telangana and parts of South Telangana districts in the State.Â
​Hyderabad: State government has set October 2017 as a deadline for the completion of the prestigious Kaleswaram Irrigation project, meant for providing irrigation and drinking needs in all North Telangana and parts of South Telangana districts in the State.
Irrigation minister T Harish Rao held a high level review meeting on the progress of the project works with top officials here on Monday.
He instructed the officials to complete land acquisition on war footing and take up pump house and barrage works on priority basis. The minister asked the officials to take up special drive for the completion of the projects.
Harish said the works at Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla would be taken up in packages for its speedy completion.
The minister asserted coordination between Forest, Revenue, and Mining departments with irrigation department to address all pending issues including pipe line works in forest areas and land acquisition at mining places.
Irrigation Special Chief Secretary SK Joshi and OSD to minister Sridhar Rao Deshpande and others were present in the daylong meeting.
