Chief Secretary S P Singh on Wednesday held a review with high officials of all departments at the Secretariat and discussed steps for the smooth conduct of the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S P Singh on Wednesday held a review with high officials of all departments at the Secretariat and discussed steps for the smooth conduct of the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
He directed the officials to make fool-proof arrangements for the 68th Republic Day celebrations at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds
The Chief Secretary said Governor ESL Narasimhan would attend the occasion as chief guest at the Parade Grounds on January 26.
Tight security arrangements would have to be made by the police, including the traffic wing, to regulate traffic.
The government had decided to illuminate various government offices and landmarks like the Secretariat, Assembly buildings, Gun Park, Necklace Road, Clock Tower and Fateh Maidan.
RTC buses should be arranged for shifting school students to Parade Grounds. Ambulances and Fire tenders should be kept on standby at the site.
