Mahbubnagar: With the water grid works moving at a fast pace as per the plan, the district administration of Mahbubnagar is planning to supply clean drinking water to all the 288 Grama Panchayats in the district by next year through water grid.

While taking part in a review meeting with officials from various departments at Revenue Meeting hall in the Collectorate on Thursday, C Laxma Reddy, Minister for Medical Health and Family Welfare said, “If everything goes as planned and if the same pace of works continue, I am sure by the year end we will be able to complete Mission Bhagiratha works in the district and will be able to supply clean and filtered drinking water to all the 288 Grama Panchayats in the district.

For this to happen, the officials of all the departments must play a responsible role and see that they meet the targets in time and get a good name for the government.”

Devarkadra MLA Ala Venkateshwar Reddy, Narayanpet MLA Rajender Reddy, and Mahbubnagar MLA Srinivas Goud also took part in the review meeting and raised their concerns over the slow pace of development works in their respective constituencies.

Raising his concern Ala Venkateshwar Reddy said the tank construction works in Devarkadra are going on at a snail’s pace and majority of tanks are still pending at various stages.
