Hyderabad: The Osmania University Police on Sunday arrested a person who murdered an 84-year-old woman and fled with her belongings in a day light robbery case which took place on Friday.According to the police, Nanduri Indradevi was staying with his bed-ridden son in Ravindranagar Colony of Sithaphalmandi when the incident took place.

According to the police, Nanduri Indradevi was staying with his bed-ridden son in Ravindranagar Colony of Sithaphalmandi when the incident took place.

The accused, Siddam Sai Prasad, an A C technician and a resident of Boduppal who conducted a recce of the woman’s house found it to be easy target.

After raiding the house during the afternoon hours on January 13, Prasad killed the woman by ‘smothering’ her with a pillow, as she had raised an alarm.

He fled the spot with Rs 36,000 cash and a LCD TV in the living room of the house. The accused was arrested near the main gate of EFLU
on Sunday.
