Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Sunday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should tender apology to the nation for showing disrespect to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by omitting Gandhiji’s photograph on the Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) diary.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Sunday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should tender apology to the nation for showing disrespect to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by omitting Gandhiji’s photograph on the Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) diary.

Senior Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao, who on Sunday observed a day-long fast protesting against the omission of Mahatma’s photo along with party leader and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, hit out at the Centre that it had shown disrespect to the Father of the Nation.

He said the BJP was trying to paint a black picture of Congress leaders and demanded that Modi o apologise the nation for showing disrespect to Gandhiji.

0Hanumantha Rao slammed the BJP government that it was trying to distort history to erase memories from the minds of people about the contribution of Congress leaders.

TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, former PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah and other senior Congress leaders spoke.
