Hyderabad: Former PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Monday said the demonetisation had dealt a severe blow to every section of the society, particularly the rural economy.
Speaking to media persons here, Lakshmaiah said the Congress would organise a protest against note ban on January 19 under the aegis of party’s women wing in all districts.
He said the party would also stage a protest at regional RBI office in the city on January 20 demanding that the Centre withdraw all restrictions on withdrawal of money from banks and ATMs.
