KTR said that there is no proper systematic drainage system particularly in the outskirts of the city and in order to develop the situation, huge funds are required.

Stating that the Telangana government has already submitted DPRs to various financial institutions regarding the same, the Minister further said that currently, the government is planning to accept a standardized drainage system in the city.

Addressing the assurance given on the drinking water supply to be made available to every household every day in 2017, KTR said that the plan is in progress to supply drinking water slum areas on daily basis.

He also spoke on the requirement to improve roads, fly overs and bridges that are to be given high priority in the next budget.
