Telangana govt planning to introduce air ambulance service

State Medical and Health department of Telangana government is currently planning to introduce Air ambulance facility in the state. The department has indulged in a study on the implementation of chopper ambulances in the European countries in order to develop the concept of Air ambulances in Telangana.

A senior official from the department informs that the proposal is still at an initial stage and the government is scheduled to hold a meeting with the corporate hospitals to take in their inputs before finalizing the project.

The facility which will be under the State health policy would be able to provide instant medical treatment particularly during the time of natural calamities such as fire mishaps and heavy rains.
