Telangana BJP to go it alone in 2019 polls
Telangana BJP President K Laxman asserted here on Friday that the party would go it alone in 119 constituencies in 2019.
​Bhadrachalam: State BJP President K Laxman asserted here on Friday that the party would go it alone in 119 constituencies in 2019.
Speaking to the media on the eve of the party’s State Executive meeting here, Laxman said already organisational work pertaining to 13,000 of the 32,000 polling booths across Telangana has been completed.
Efforts were on to further strengthen the organisational bodies like Yuva Morcha and women’s wing, among others. The BJP leader stated that the party was opposed to 12 per cent reservations for Muslims. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had reiterated the government’s resolve to provide quota for Muslims.
The BJP would create awareness among the Backward Classes as part of its campaign against provision of reservations to Muslims, Laxman said.
He pointed out that the TRS rule during the last two and a half years had failed to fulfil the aspirations of the people.
The party would step up its agitation to force the government for resolving the problems being faced by people.
