Telangana employees working with the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature on Wednesday held a protest demanding their immediate repatriation.

Hyderabad: Telangana employees working with the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature on Wednesday held a protest demanding their immediate repatriation. Speaking to mediapersons, AP Legislature Assistant Secretaries K Kamalakar and E Sanjeeva Rao and Section Officer P Venugopal said that as many 123 employees of Telangana were allocated to AP Legislature Secretariat on "Ordered To Serve" basis.

They said that the employees have been demanding their immediate repatriation, especially in the view of shifting AP Assembly to Vijayawada. They said several representations were made with AP Legislative Council Chairman Dr A Chakrapani for immediate action. However, Dr Chakrapani said that the files pertaining to repatriation needs to be approved by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Since the employees are working for AP Government their bus passes have been cancelled by TS Government. They said they are also facing several other problems. On Wednesday, the employees' representative met the Secretaries of both TS and AP Legislature and demanded immediate repatriation. Else, they threatened to launch a mass agitation.
