Hyderabad: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof M Kodandaram said here on Thursday that the State government was not living up to the expectations of the people.

Talking to media after hoisting the national flag, Prof Kodandaram said the JAC would strive hard to realise the dreams of people of the people on every front.

The people, who had fought for a separate State, were now looking for a viable alternative, he felt.

He vowed to ensrue that the TJAC works hard to fight for realising the dreams of people. He asked the State government to concentrate on fulfilling the aspirations of people on every front at least from now onwards.

Telangana State was formed purely in accordance with the Constitution. The new State came into existence as per Article 3 of the Constitution.

A government in such constitutionally created State should work for the interests of the people by upholding the Constitutional values, he pointed out.

The TJAC Chairman further asked the State government to take steps to ensure that fruits of development reach all sections of people and that the social and economical disparities in society are removed.
