Hyderabad: National BC Welfare Association and Telugu Desam legislator R Krishnaiah on Thursday demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao order recruitment of teachers in government schools.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, he said though he was happy to note that the government had taken steps to recruit 8,245 teachers for residential schools, government should have taken steps to fill 29,000 vacant teacher posts in the government schools.
Unless the government began the recruitment process immediately, it would not be possible to complete it by next academic year and three academic years had passed without appointment of teachers in government schools, Krishnaiah said.
