Hyderabad: Stating that the BJP is a party which truly upholds and practices democratic values, the party’s Telangana spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao on Friday said Pawan Kalyan was juvenile, political opportunist and a twitter tiger.

In a statement released here on Friday, Krishna Sagar Rao said the BJP had no issues with anyone fighting for rights or protesting in a peaceful and democratic manner. The BJP strongly condemned Pawan Kalyan’s statement on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister M Venkiah Naidu, he said, adding that Pawan’s statements were unwarranted, baseless and juvenile.

“No one who understands basic tenets of governance would make silly statements like he had made at a press conference on Friday,” said Rao. “Pawan Kalyan is trying to ride a readymade wave, if someone can drive it.

He neither has sincerity of purpose nor maturity to address people’s concerns structurally. He lacks conviction to be in the midst of the people, whom he wishes to fight for. He is a part time politician who operates through press conferences and twitter,” alleged Rao.

Krishna Sagar Rao said Pawan’s comments against M Venkaiah Naidu only exposed his bankruptcy of purpose and clarity of thought. “The BJP warns Pawan Kalyan to focus if he can, on real issues and fight if can, in the real world for real people, than occasionally wake up from his shooting schedules and make pointless, baseless and juvenile allegations on the BJP and its national leaders,” Rao added.

Livid over IAS officer's speech
Telangana BJP on Friday took strong exception to an IAS officer offering to touch Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s feet in his Republic Day speech and said that it was an insult to Indian Administrative Service and inappropriate for a Central Services Civil servant.

In a statement, the TBJP official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said that Sarath's statement lowered the respect and honor of the entire IAS cadre. His statement showcases the level to which an administrative officer can stoop to be in the good books of those in power.

This unwarranted benevolence and cronyism will not only bring disrepute to the Indian Administrative Service but also further weaken the already stifled independent powers of the bureaucracy, for delivering larger good to the poor and needy, said Rao.
