Telangana BJP eulogises budget

​Hyderabad: BJP State president K Laxman on Wednesday said the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was aimed at welfare of the poor.

Addressing a press conference here, Laxman said the budget was revolutionary, courageous and historical. He said the budget was brought keeping in mind the development of all sections of the society.

He said the budget was presented taking inspiration from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s principles of providing development benefits to the poorest of the poor in the country.

There had been increase in the budget allocations for the employment guarantee scheme and skill development was given importance by allocating more skill development centres, said Laxman adding that the financial system would improve with the measures of the government.

Laxman also hailed the decision of the government to limit the cash donations to the political parties to Rs 2,000 per individual. He said the Prime Minister always wanted transparency and honesty in politics.

The Prime Minister had brought revolutionary reforms in politics, said Laxman. He said importance was also given to safety in the Railways. “On the whole, it is a positive budget,” he said.
