Hyderabad: City Police will now take action against the managements of business establishments, educational institutions, cinema theatres and a host of other public places if the managements fail to ensure ‘Q’ management system.

City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy on Saturday issued a notification directing the managements to provide ‘Q’ managers, security personnel and sign boards, besides enforcement work and creating awareness among the public about mandatory formation of queues at their respective establishments.

He said the notification became necessary to ensure order, decency and discipline. Even the people were duty-bound to follow the queue system leaving a personal space of one foot between person to person standing in the queue system.

He said overcrowding was leading to uninterrupted nuisance, traffic obstructions and obstructions in smooth conducting of businesses and professions, thereby adversely affecting public order, tranquillity decency and smooth flow of traffic.

The places notified by the city police chief include business establishments, cinema theatres, educational institutions, bus stands, religious places, food outlets, wine shops, ATMs, offices, places of entertainment and such other places where public gathers in huge numbers.

The order will come into force from 6 am on February 6 and remains in force for a period of 15 days.
The managements of all the said establishments must implement the measures strictly in letter and spirit failing which the violators would be punished under various provisions of Indian Penal Code and also under the provisions of Hyderabad City Police Act.
