Talasani pulls up GHMC officials

​Hyderabad: Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Saturday expressed displeasure at GHMC officials for failing to take up cleaning measures at nalas and streets in his Sanathangar constituency.

The Minister made a surprise visit to some area in the constituency and interacted with people. He asked the officials to dismantle immediately some cell towers erected atop the buildings. The people poured out their grievances to the Minister. Garbage piled up at various places foul smell was emanating Palika Bazaar nala. The nala was filled with garbage thrown into it by local people.

Expressing ire at the sorry state of affairs, Srinivas Yadav pulled up the officials for their inaction. He also asked them to see that there was no mosquito menace. He directed the officials ensure that cattle do not roam about in the streets.

Referring to some complaints, the Minister said any sort of rowdyism would not be tolerated. “The government will invoke Preventive Detention Act against those harassing the people,” he warned.

The Minister urged the people, small businessmen and traders to use dustbins and not to throw household refue, garbage on roads.

Stating that water tank construction was nearing completion to cater to the needs of people in Marredpally, he said that cement road construction works would be taken up after drainage pipeline construction at Maruthi Street.
