​Hyderabad: Two students of a private engineering college were grievously injured when the car they were travelling hit the road median before turning turtle in Vanasthalipuram police station limits on Tuesday evening.

The injured students – Bharat and Naveen – have been admitted to Amma Hospital in Hasthinapuram for treatment. Two other students suffered minor injuries. All the four were students of Srinidhi College of Engineering, situated at Ibrahimpatnam.

According to police, four students were returning home after the college in a Maruti Alto car when they lost control over the wheel due to over speeding and hit the road median near Sagar Complex. The impact was so heavy that the car overturned and it was badly damaged.

Though there was no casualty, two students suffered grievous injuries while two other escaped with minor injuries. It was not immediately known whether the students were drunk.

Vanasthalipuram police have registered a case and launched investigations.
