Nagarkurnool: The newly formed Nagarkurnool district of Telangana has bagged top three awards for ranking number one in the successful implementation of E-Aushadi programme at District, CHC and PCH levels in the State.

According to district collector E. Sridhar, the E-Aushadi Programme was launched on 24th December, 2016 across the state and Nagarkurnool district stood in the forefront in implementing this programme in all the PHCs, CHCs, area and district headquarter hospitals.

“As part of the E-Aushadi programme, all the PHCs, CHCs and district hospitals were provided computer and internet connectivity. The main aim of E-Aushadi programme is to register the details of patients with their Aadhar numbers online and update the details of patient’s disease profile, tests conducted, treatment provided and medicines supplied to the patient.

The E-Aushadi software is also aimed to ensure transparency about the details of supply of medicines and stocks available at the PHCs, CHCs and Area hospitals,” said the collector.

In the recent state level review on the implementation of this programme, Nagarkurnool district has bagged first price in the implementation of this programme. At district level, District headquarter Hospital at Nagarkurnool, has bagged first place.

At the Community Health Centre level, Kollapur CHC has bagged first price and at Primary Healthcare centre level at PHC Uppununtala has bagged first price for successfully implementing the E-Aushadi in its true spirit.

Details of more than 27,200 patients have been recorded online in the E-Aushadi software in all the government hospitals of Nagarkurnool district. Dr. Sudhakarlal, District Medical and Health officer will receive all the three awards from Vakati Karuna, Commissioner for Medical, Health and Family welfare in a programme to be held next month in Hyderabad.
