Centre promises AIIMS for Telangana

​New Delhi: The Centre has declared that it would be establishing AIIMS in Telangana soon. This assurance came from Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in a reply to a query raised by TRS Parliamentary Party leader A P Jithender Reddy here on Thursday.
Reddy raised the issue during a debate on the Budget in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. He asked Arun Jaitley to clarify on the issue and the latter said: "I am giving it (AIIMS)."
AIIMs to Telangana is not one of the assurances incorporated in the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and it was promised only for AP.
