Hyderabad: TDP founder president N T Rama Rao will be the face of the TDP in Telangana. The TTDP, which has taken up the process of rebuilding the organisational structure, wants to utilise the punch dialogues of NTR and his filmy charisma in reviving the party prospects in the State.

The party leadership has finalised short video films in which they would be showing clippings of NTR’s chaitanya yatra in Telangana and his power packed speeches which had stirred the Telugu people in the past.

These short films will be used in all the public meetings the party would be organising starting from Saturday when they would be launching Praja Poru from Kollapur in Mahbubnagar district.

Strict instructions have been given to show just a couple of clips of the party national president N Chandrababu Naidu and ensure that no Andhra leader is seen with him in those clips.

The TTDP feels that since the Telangana sentiment is still there in the state though the intensity has reduced, it was not the time to project Naidu.

NTR as Chief Minister in the united Andhra Pradesh had taken certain bold steps like abolition of patwari system, introduction of mandal system and had brought GO 610 pertaining to regulation of local cadres in the government sector in the Telangana region.

These decisions were very well received by people of Telangana. Hence the party feels that NTR would be more acceptable. Moreover, he continues to have fan following.

The short films apart from excerpts of NTR’s speeches will have clippings of the recent agitations taken up by the party at Mallanna Sagar opposing, the dharna they staged recently in the State Assembly following abrupt adjournment of the session after the Chief Minister’s reply on a short discussion on fee reimbursement scheme in January and other agitations taken up the party.
