TPCC ridicules Kavitha’s claims
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) spokesperson Regulapati Ramya Rao ridiculed the speech delivered by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP K Kavitha at Women Parliamentarian Conference in Vijayawada on empowerment of women.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Ramya questioned Kavitha's silence on non-inclusion of a woman in the Cabinet of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in Telangana.
She said Kavitha had turned a blind eye to the injustices being meted out to women in Telangana State. On the other side, the TRS MP was making long speeches on how women should be empowered in politics, she said.
Ramya Rao, who is also the niece of Chandrashekar Rao, said the TRS was giving no respect to AICC president Sonia Gandhi, a woman, who granted statehood for Telangana. She also questioned Kavitha's silence on the death of five women in Niloufer Hospital due to alleged negligence of doctors.
