San Diego Institute to train TMREIS teachers

Hyderabad: Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) Secretary B Shafiullah had a meeting with Greg MacDonald, Director, The Montessori Institute of San Diego, affiliated to the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), USA, at Chennai recently.
Shaifiullah said, in a press release issued here on Wednesday, that Greg had agreed to train the teachers of TMREIS in Elementary Montessori course, which would enhance the teaching methodologies among the TMREIS teachers and bring world-class methods in to the education system of TMREIS.
The issue of student exchange programme between TMREIS and International Montessori institutes was also discussed. The Secretary further said that online enrolment in 201 Telangana Minorities Residential Schools for the academic year 2017-18 in all the 31 districts had started on February 10 and the last date for applying online enrolment was March 15.
Interested parents can enrol for admission in 5th, 6th, 7the and 8th classes online. And they could also apply offline by producing a copy of proof of residence and one passport size photograph of the children, he added.
He said Telangana Minorities Residential Schools are well-equipped with 100 per cent boarding, lodging facilities, good hygienic dining areas, nutritious daily menu with high standard and entire education costing Rs 1 lakh per year per child was being provided free of cost by the government.
