Dist police chiefs visit Abids police station

Hyderabad: Police chiefs of all districts and commissionerates in Telangana visited Abids police station on Thursday.

City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy explained the visiting officials about the modern police station and also the Bharosa centre set up at Abids.

The city police chief explained his junior colleagues about the monitoring of CCTV cameras from the police station and how the field level officers are given instructions to ensure quick action.

Later, the officials attended a review meeting in the evening addressed by the Director General of Police Anurag Sharma. Their visit to the police station assumes significance in view of Anurag Sharma’s comments on January 30 while inaugurating the renovated building of Central Crime Station.

The DGP said that the city police had installed state-of-the-art equipment and proposals would be sent to the government for setting up similar facilities in all the districts in the state to ensure modern policing.
