Hyderabad: Construction of 14 out of 40 proposed Model Markets have been completed, informed The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Friday.
The 40 Model Markets are being constructed to the tune of Rs 20.33 Crore. The ground floor has 7 shops each of 70 to 140 sq.ft and the first floor consists of 8 shops with parking, toilets and other basic minimum facilities.
Shops are allotted to various commodities and services other than that of hotels, restaurants, wine shops and others in these markets.
The GHMC authorities informed that a notice for the allotment of shops and other procedures would be published soon.
Meanwhile, interested citizens are instructed to contact the concerned Deputy Commissioner for more details.
