​Hyderabad: Telangana unit of BJP is undertaking a programme to study the problems of workers of Singareni Collieries.

Party floor leader in Assembly G Kishan Reddy would kick-start his three day tour from February 20. He will interact with the workers and their families to know their problems. He will highlight the problems that are noticed during the visit in the budget session of the Assembly.

Talking to The Hans India on Friday, Kishen Reddy said there were many problems being faced by the workers of Singareni collieries.

They have been demanding that the government implement the decision of giving jobs on hereditary basis . The contract employees are also facing the problems of non-payment of salaries and are demanding that the government implement the Supreme Court judgment of equal work and equal pay.

He said he would be visiting the districts of Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mancherial, Peddapally, Komaram Bheem Asifabad and Jayashankar Bhoopalapally and would interact with the workers engaged in mining activity.

On Monday Kishen Reddy would visit Kothagudem shaft mine and would have breakfast with the employees at the shaft mine canteen for obtaining first-hand knowledge of the ground conditions.

He would then visit the Central workshop unit. Kishen Reddy also proposes to meet the displaced farmers at Manuguru and reach Bhoopalapally town by Monday evening.

During the second day of his visit, he would visit mines at Bhoopalapally where he would also hold meetings with farmers. In the evening he would reach Godavarikhani and spend the night there.

He would be visiting Ladnapur, Mangalpally village, Komarambheem and Mancherial districts. On the last leg, he would visit underground mine at Srirampur and address a public meeting.
