Hyderabad: The 63rd birthday of Telangana Rashtra Samithi supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was celebrated on a grand scale in the Telangana Bhavan here on Friday.

Hyderabad: The 63rd birthday of Telangana Rashtra Samithi supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was celebrated on a grand scale in the Telangana Bhavan here on Friday.

Marking the occasion, a cake weighing 63 kg was cut by Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmmod Ali, Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy and Nizamabad MP and daughter of the Chief Minister Kavitha amidst applause.

A number of party leaders, workers and Ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Kavitha said the birthday celebrations of KCR was being held at the party headquarters every year as a tradition and expressed her gratitude to party cadre and leaders for organising celebrations on such a grand scale.

The Home Minister said the six-decade-old dream of separate Telangana State is a reality because of the tireless efforts by the leader and supreme sacrifices of those who died in the prolonged agitation.

Stating that the people of the entire State are behind KCR, Narasimha Reddy asserted that no force on the earth can stop the onward march of the State despite the miasma of conspiracies being hatched by political parties jealous of impressive performance of the TRS.

The Telangana Jagruthi headed by Kalvakuntla Kavitha organised a special painting exhibition at Telangana Bhavan on the occasion showcasing the achievements of the party founder-president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Meanwhile, KCR 's birthday was celebrated across the State by party workers in a big way. Cakes were cut and meetings were organised on the occasion. In capital city of Hyderabad and billboards were painted pink greeting KCR on his birthday.

Members of Telangana Archaka Samakhya performed special pujas in 12,254 temples all over the State seeking blessings of the Almighty for messiah of the poor.

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas performed special pujas in the Peddamma Thalli temple in Jubilee Hills and prayed the Goddess to shower her blessings on the Chief Minister and to ensure long-life and good health to KCR.

In Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri, MLA Gongidi Sunitha performed special pujas.
