While TDP is planning to utilise the services of actress Jayasudha, Congress has proposed to chip in Vijayashanthi in campaigns. The two parties are also making all-out efforts to rope in several film personalities like character artists from Telangana State.

They includes Venu Madhav , Uttej, Vennela Kishore, Prabhakar ( Kalakeya in Bahubali) and Uday Bhanu and Siva Reddy.

Besides, the two parties are making arrangements to create cultural troupes on the lines the TRS cultural organisation headed by MLA Rasamai
Balakishan.

TDP senior leader E Peddi Reddy said though the party working president A Revanth Reddy and President L Ramana were struggling hard to revive the party by launching campaign against the government, it is felt that film glamour would help to attract huge crowds during the meetings in the districts.
Towards this end, the party is consulting the film actors. Venu Madhav, who maintains close relations with TDP for years, expressed his readiness to take part in the meetings.

Another popular comedian Veenela Kishore was approached recently. As the time for next Assembly elections is just two years away, the party would leave no stone unturned and the role of film glamour would add an advantage to strengthen the party.

Telangana Congress leaders said the ‘charisma’ of Vijayashanthi would be taken advantage of because of she is a crowd-puller.’ Her oratory skills would also help counter KCR’s popularity.

The film actor-turned political leader has been maintaining distance from active politics in the party since 2014 election. The party is also consulting noted comedians Shiva Reddy and Uttej and urged them to join Congress. Another character artiste Jayaprakash Reddy was also consulted.
