Guntur: APNGOs Association president P Ashok Babu on Sunday said that municipal employees, teachers working in the aided schools and non-teaching staff working in the universities will get health cards very soon.

He said the government has agreed to give health cards to them in principle and added that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will hold a meeting with the government officials and announce it.

He said the Chief Minister will distribute the health cards to the employees. He addressed APNGOs JAC executive meeting held in Guntur city.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that the JAC will mount pressure on the government to hike salaries of the employees working on contract basis and to regularise their services.

He further said that the government is ready to give funds for conducting health check-ups to the employees. He said that so far 4,452 applications were pending with the government for medical expenses reimbursement. Ashok Babu said that the government is in favour of PRC arrears.
