SIT registers 197 cases against Nayeem gang so far
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing late gangster Nayeemuddin\'s related cases has registered four fresh cases so far this month taking the total number of cases to 197.
Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing late gangster Nayeemuddin's related cases has registered four fresh cases so far this month taking the total number of cases to 197.
During the investigation, as many as 125 persons were arrested, 330 persons were taken in prisoner transit warrants and 107 persons were taken into police custody for interrogation according to Inspector General of Police, incharge of SIT, Y Nagi Reddy.
He also added that the SIT has examined 878 witnesses so far and filed charge sheets in 18 cases. Further, 14 associates of Nayeem have been detained under PD Act.
The police officer also said that the investigation has been going at a fast pace in an impartial manner and that the SIT was able to collect details of several cases within a short period.
