Hyderabad: CLP Deputy Leader T Jeevan Reddy has alleged that the State government is scheming to privatise education in the State. Speaking to the media at Assembly media hall here on Monday, Jeevan Reddy accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of trying to weaken the State-run education system.

The TRS government was allocating mere eight per cent in the budget for the education in contrast to allocation of 15 per cent by the governments in other States.

He found fault with the government for denying permission to the rally proposed to be organised TJAC to highlight the problem being faced by unemployed. Jeevan Reddy wondered whether the State government was headed by monarch.

Jeevan Reddy recalled that previous Congress government had functioned in a democratic manner even when the separate Telangana movement was at its peak.
