Hyderabad: The tenure of Director General of Police (DGP), Anurag Sharma has been extended by nine months till November 2017. He was appointed as the Head of Police Force in November 2015.

Hyderabad: The tenure of Director General of Police (DGP), Anurag Sharma has been extended by nine months till November 2017. He was appointed as the Head of Police Force in November 2015.

On superannuation, he was to retire this month. However, the tenure has been extended in view of the order issued earlier by the Supreme Court directing the governments to ensure compulsory tenure of two years for Head of Police Force. Keeping this in view, Anurag Sharma’s tenure has been extended.
