Hyderabad: The highest day temperature falls to over 38 degrees Celsius in Mahbubnagar during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday, even as Bhadrachalam and Hanamkonda recorded 37 degrees Celsius each.

Hyderabad: The highest day temperature falls to over 38 degrees Celsius in Mahbubnagar during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday, even as Bhadrachalam and Hanamkonda recorded 37 degrees Celsius each.

During the last week, Mahbubnagar had twice recorded the highest day temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius. Dry weather prevailed in Telangana.

The Met department bulletins said the other maximum temperatures in the State were: Khammam, Nalgonda 36 each, Hyderabad, Medak 35 each, Nizamabad, Ramagundam, Adilabad 34 each, Hakimpet 33.

According to the bulletin, there was an appreciable fall ranging from 2.1 C to 4 degrees C in the night temperatures at many places in the State during the last 24 hours.

They were markedly below normal by 5 degrees C or less at one or two places. The lowest minimum of nine degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad.

The other night temperatures recorded in Telangana were: Medak 13, Ramagundam 14, Hanamkonda 15, Hyderabad 16, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nizamabad 17 each, Hakimpet 18, Mahbubnagar 19 and Bhadrachalam 20.

The forecast said dry weather was likely to prevail in the State from February 27 to March 2. No large change during the subsequent three days is the weather outlook.
