Speaking to media persons here, Venkaiah Naidu said, “American President and the people of America should come out openly to condemn such actions.

And then take strongest action. Also send a message that it is not acceptable,” he said, adding that kind of incidents involving racial discrimination were shameful. “They would dent the image of the USA.

President Trump, his administration and civil societies should unequivocally respond and condemn such hate incidents. I, as a Union Minister, condemn such incidents,” he said, adding that he spoke to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who gave appropriate directions to the Indian High Commission.

Venkaiah Naidu, his Cabinet colleague Bandaru Dattatraya and party MLA G Kishan Reddy called on the parents of Kuchibotla Srinivas and consoled them.
