Hyderabad: The budget session of Telangana Assembly would begin from March 10 with the customary address of Governor ESL Narasimhan to the joint legislature.

Finance Minister Eatala Rajender will be presenting the budget proposals for 2017-18 financial year on March 13. The session would be on for 16 working days. However, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) would take a final decision on the total number of working days.

In all probability, the House would adjourn sine die on March 29 or 30, according to sources. Apart from the debate on demands, the Assembly is likely to discuss in detail on several important issues, including the new schemes that would be proposed in the budget, irrigation projects, Mission Bhagiratha, farmer suicides and welfare of all communities.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is said to have instructed the ministers to get ready with all facts and figures so that they can speak effectively on their respective subjects during the debates in the House. He told them to take proper briefing from officials so that they can counter the opposition charges.

Meanwhile, the Comptroller & Auditor General of India has submitted its ‘Audit Reports’ on the Accounts of Telangana Government to be tabled in the State Legislature.
