TDP alleges scam in housing projects
Telugu Desam Party Telangana unit President A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said he has evidences to prove the alleged irregularities in according clearances to the housing projects taken up under joint venture scheme with private agencies.

Addressing media Revanth Reddy alleged that state Housing minister A Indrakaran Reddy and Finance minister E Rajendar issued NOC ( No Objection Certificates) by receiving kickbacks from the contractors. As per the guidelines, the agencies should construct houses for poor at affordable prices in ventures taken up in posh areas like hi-tech city and Banjara hills by taking costly lands at throw away prices.
He said the housing projects were taken up in the early 2003 in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh but were not completed.
After the formation of Telangana , the TRS government constituted cabinet sub- committee headed by Housing Minister to address the issue. The committee’s decision to hand over the lands to the private agencies against the guidelines led to a big scam in the multi crore housing project, Revanth said he was ready for an open debate on the issue with the government .
