Hyderabad: TRS MP B Vinod on Saturday rebutted allegations levelled by AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh that Telangana State was run by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's family comprising four persons.

Addressing a media conference at Telangana Bhavan, Vinod claimed that the State was not being ruled by four persons, but four crore people of Telangana State. He said the TRS government had empowered all citizens in the State.

He asked Digvijay Singh if the Congress was a family-run party. Vinod also dismissed the charge that the government had deliberately escalated the cost of irrigation projects. Digvijay Singh was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh twice and he must understand that the acquisition of lands was necessary for projects.

He said it was the Congress leaders who have been stalling irrigation projects by approaching the courts. So far, at least 32 cases had been filed by the Congress leaders to stall land acquisition.

He alleged that the previous Congress regime had squandered thousands of crores of rupees on Pranahita-Chevella project and did not release a single drop of water for irrigation. Contrary to this, he said that the TRS government had completed projects in record time.

The TRS leader said it was due to the vision of KCR that the State secured the top rank in the 'Ease of Doing Business.'

Vinod Kumar also condemned TJAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram for his stand against TRS government and asked him to come out of the clutches of conspirators surrounding him.
