Komatireddy happy over TRS' MLC list
Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkatreddy expressed happiness over Gutta Sukhender Reddy not being considered for MLC election from TRS party.
Nalgonda: Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkatreddy expressed happiness over Gutta Sukhender Reddy not being considered for MLC election from TRS party.
According to sources, the local MP, Gutta Sukhender Reddy joined TRS party with a wish to join the TRS government as a minister. In the process, he wished to resign for the MP seat and get elected as MLC to pave the way for him to get inducted in the cabinet.
But, in order to avoid going for an MP election at this juncture, the party high command did not concede to the wish of Sukhender Reddy.
As an arch rival of Sukhender Reddy in the district politics, Komatireddy has been, for long, against the former's elevation to the cabinet.
With the TRS party's release of the official list of five MLC candidates under Governor quota and MLA quota without Sukhender Reddy's name figuring in it, Komatireddy was all ecstatic.
Though Sukhender Reddy is said to have lobbied heavily for the MLC nomination, the party preferred the disciplinary committee chairman Elimineti Krishna Reddy.
