Actress Isha Koppikar and her master Sardar Mohammed Shaik will train 175 women police personnel of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in self-defence.

Hyderabad: Actress Isha Koppikar and her master Sardar Mohammed Shaik will train 175 women police personnel of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in self-defence.

Isha has a black belt in Taekwondo and is an expert in Hapkido while Sardar Shaik has 40 years of experience in Hapkido.

Isha and Sardar will teach the women police personnel the techniques of Hapkido, the Korean Martial Art, on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Wednesday.

According to a release issued by the Rachakonda police, the training in martial arts was very much necessary for the police personnel in order to be prepared for any eventuality. Police officers need self-defence for both armed and unarmed encounters.

The Korean martial art has a wide variety of self-defence training programs to suit police personnel. The seminar is a complimentary gift from the Hapkido Federation, India and Soul Konnect Foundation for the police forces, the release read.
