Tandur: Municipal Commissioner Santosh Kumar administered the oath of office and secrecy to municipal chairperson-elect Sunita Sampat at a programme held at the civic body office here on Wednesday.
However, vice-chairman-elect Asif could not take oath since he was not available for the Wednesday’s ceremony. Later addressing the gathering, the municipal chairperson sought support from ward members, high and mighty of the town and officials to develop the town.
Several municipal councilors belonging to the TDP and the BJP, former MLA Narayana Rao, DCCB former president Lakshma Reddy, former municipal chairmen Viswanath Goud and Narsimulu and others felicitated the new chairperson.
