Hyderabad: TDP Telangana unit working President A Revanth Reddy on Saturday dared the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to arrest him for criticising the government for reneging on its promises.
Responding to the Chief Minister’s statement in the Assembly that his government would take stern action against those who made wild allegations without evidences against his government, the TDP leader said he would not go back on the accusations made against the government.
He said the disciplinary action taken against the officials who allegedly indulged irregularities in Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha had proved what he said.
The motive behind redesigning of irrigation projects was to swindle public money, Revanth said and demanded that KCR order CBI enquire into all allegations instead of threatening the Opposition. The TDP leader also said the Governor’s address were “a bundle of lies.”
KCR promised to provide government job, two-bed house and Rs 10 lakh compensation to the family of every Telangana martyr .
Only 500 out of 1,569 families were provided relief so far, he said. He also pointed out that the government had announced the allocation of Rs 50,000 crore for SC development but it was not more than Rs 3,000 crore.
