Kavitha raises scarcity of medicines issue in Lok Sabha

New Delhi: TRS MP K Kavitha on Tuesday raised the issue for shortage of medicine supply in Telangana and other Sates in Lok Sabha. Kavitha said that the Telangana government has been receiving complaints on the shortage of medicine supply.
She said that although the cost of medicine and quality were good, but the quantity being supplied by the Centre is unable to meet the demand. She also pointed out that there were no stores in Telangana for the supply of the medicines under "Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojna".
She requested the Central government to permit the State to outsource the medicines from private pharmaceutical company's who manufacture generic medicine to meet the urgent needs.
