TSRTC wins award for fuel efficiency
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) won the prestigious award for achieving 5.5 KMPL under KMPL category of fuel efficiency in Mofussil services for the year 2015-16.
​Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) won the prestigious award for achieving 5.5 KMPL under KMPL category of fuel efficiency in Mofussil services for the year 2015-16.
According to a press release issued here, RTC officials said that by achieving KMPL, the corporation could save 9.50 lakh litres of HSD (high speed diesel) and Rs 6.05 crore in terms of money.
The corporation received award from among the STUs having fleet of 4,001 to 10,000 for the year 2015-16. There are 67 mofussil depots out of which 49 depots fuel performance was over and above 5.50 KMPL.
Even during the previous years, the corporation got National level awards for fuel conservation, safety and productivity etc. several times, said the RTC officials.
RTC MD G V Ramana Rao received the award along with Chief Mechanical Engineer V Venkateshwarlu from ASRTU President Sanjay Mitra in New Delhi on Thursday.
