About 350 motor cycles were gutted when fire broke out at the two parking lots in the RTC Bus Stand in Shadnagar on Saturday.
​Hyderabad: About 350 motor cycles were gutted when fire broke out at the two parking lots in the RTC Bus Stand in Shadnagar on Saturday.
According to the police, the fire broke out when Transco officials were dismantling iron pillars with a gas cutter. The sparks that emanated gas cutter led to the fire breaking out.
Even as the parking lot assistants were trying to shifting the motor cycle from the place, the flames spread to another motor cycle and the fire quickly engulfed other two-wheelers, police said.
By the time fire tenders reached the place, as many as 350 motor cycles were gutted since the fuel tanks of all the motor cycles had petrol and fuel tanks of several motor cycles exploded.
Meanwhile, Minister for Transport, Mahendar Reddy visited the fire accident site and promised that compensation would be paid to those who lost their vehicles in the fire accident.
