New Delhi: TRS MP and its Parliamentary Party Leader, A P Jithender Reddy, here on Wednesday, said that the work on the Hyderabad-Mahbubnagar Railway Line Doubling project and electrification at a cost of Rs 774 crore would begin on March 25.

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu would lay the foundation stone for the project by remote control from Hyderabad.

Disclosing this to the media, Jithender Reddy said on Wednesday that the doubling work could be extended up to Benguluru later. Work on the present stretch would be completed in two-and-a-half years.

The line would be of great help to the people travelling from Mahbubnagar everyday to Hyderabad. Similarly, an e-Postal Passport office would be inaugurated in Mahbubnagar on March 31.

He hailed the developmental works undertaken by the KCR led TRS government and said there was multipronged development in the State and it was racing towards the goals of 'Bangaru Telangana'.

In a separate statement, TRS MP K Kavitha's office informed media that the Morthad-Nizamabad Railway line would become operational on March 25.
