Hyderabad: TRS-backed sitting MLC Katepally Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday won the elections to the legislative council from the Hyd-RR- Mahbubnagar teachers’ constituency.
Janardhan Reddy was first elected to the council in 2011. He contested the then elections as a candidate of the Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union and later joined the TRS.
PRTU has renominated Janardhan Reddy for this election. With this, the TRS holds all the three teacher MLCs and two of the three graduate seats in the state.
