​Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao informed the Legislative Assembly on Saturday that the Detailed Project Report for skyway from Jubilee Bus Stand to Shamirpet on Rajiv Rahdhari is completed. The DPR for the skyway from Paradise to Kompally is not yet started.

In his written reply to a question raised by Cantonment MLA G Sayanna, the Minister said 26.55 hectares of defence land was required for construction of skyway from Jubilee Bus Station to Shamirpet. Similarly, 15.76 hectares of defence land is needed for skyway from Paradise to Kompally.

He said as per the request of Defence Minister, the Telangana government “in principle” agreed to the proposal of Central government to offer alternative land on equivalent value basis in the lieu of defence lands required subject to valuation of lands, to be determined by the State and Defence officials. He said that the process was on.
