​Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday directed the party leaders to ensure that the all the committees including village-level panels have proper representation of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minority communities.

Addressing the party MPs, MLAs and MLCs at a meeting held here at Pragathi Bhavan, KCR urged the party leaders and activists to closely monitor the implementation of the welfare programmes in their constituencies. He directed them to play a proactive role and see that the genuine beneficiaries get all the benefits. He also directed the MLAs to ensure that the constituency development funds are distributed to benefit SCs, STs.

The Chief Minister said the government had taken steps to strengthen the village economy by giving financial assistance to the Backward Classes and artisans. The guidelines for this would be released soon and the leaders should take part actively in ensuring that they reach the people for whom they are intended for.

He also released the schedule for the organisational elections. The elections to village committees would be held on April 6, mandal committees on April 12 and 13. Notification would be released for State president election on April 14.

Nominations would be received on April 18. The last date of withdrawal of nominations is April 20. It was also decided that the plenary of the party would be held at Kompally and election to the post of the party president would be held on April 21.

A week later the party would hold a huge public meeting on the occasion of formation day of the party on April 27. The plenary would be attended by state president, executive members, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Corporation Chairmen, ZP Chairpersons, district cooperative bank chairmen, marketing cooperative association chairmen, libraries chairmen, party’s constituency in charges, mayors, municipal chairmen, MPPs, ZPTCs, market committee chairpersons and others.

The responsibility of mobilising people for the public meeting has been entrusted to senior leaders like P Krishnamurthy, MLC Srinivas Reddy.
